Issac Mason as a Slave
What was interesting to me was how some slaves still had a lot of confidence and the slave owners never completely destroyed the slaves. Some had the hope and desire of escape. This ties in well with Huck Finn. Mason’s narritive and Twain’s Huck Finn has the same theme of escape.
I found it interesting when Mason wrote that said he was ignorent. Slaves then resented the work so much that some started to get physical over it. When Mason pushed his owner down, he never thought to himself how much trouble he may face. He goes from one place to another trying to be a free man in an animalistic society.
